Switching Gears just a tad

I started “Cowgirling Up” for my Fort Worth show and it just didn’t feel quite right yet…. so I decided to switch gears just a tad but still work large.

Here is one that is not quite finished yet but I thought I would post it up so you could see…. this is a combination of a monoprint with an etching plate that I made of a woman juggler…

I really like how your piece is developing. I love mixing vintage photographs with drawn elements. Very fun.

Really nice. Channeling Mamie Joe is working. Asked Diana about the book but haven’t heard back.

Clearly she’s not a cowgirl, but I love the piece. Even this big open space is interesting the way you’ve handled it. Rock on!

Debbie, it was great briefly talking to you at the Fort Worth art fest a couple of days ago! As a photographer, I enjoyed looking at your art a lot and learned a couple of things that I had been thinking about in handcoloring of photographs. (Specifically Van Dyke prints). I didn’t want to interrupt your conversation with your customers, but am so glad to find your blog. Will be following it!
